COVID Clinic at Yellowknife Primary Care returning to normal operations

Public Notice

(Yellowknife, November 22) - The NTHSSA is informing Yellowknife residents that the COVID Clinic located in the Yellowknife Primary Care building will be scaling back operations over the end of November. Staff and related resources in the COVID Clinic will return to supporting regular operations.

The remaining schedule for the COVID clinic is as follows:

  • Monday, Nov 22: 8:00AM-4:00PM
  • Friday, Nov 26: 8:00AM-4:00PM

The COVID Clinic, which was initially established in early 2020, had been scaled down until this past September, when it was brought back into operation due to the recent outbreaks in the Yellowknife region. The clinic provides COVID-related health services for residents in a space separate from the walk-in medical clinic.

Yellowknife residents can continue to book a COVID testing appointment online, and residents in all other communities can request testing by contacting their local health centres or public health offices.

Persons who are experiencing any COVID-like symptoms are encouraged to self-isolate and book an appointment to get tested. Isolating is the most effective way to ensure that you do not expose other people and contribute to the spread of illness, and it helps to keep public areas and work spaces healthy. If you are experiencing severe symptoms including difficulty breathing, chest pains, or a high fever, please call 9-1-1 or arrange immediate transport to the emergency department.
