Over the past weeks, Fort Smith has seen a significant reduction in the number of patients requiring testing for COVID-19. In response to this, the Fort Smith COVID-19 Offsite Screening Clinic is adjusting their screening hours, by changing regular scheduled weekend and statutory holiday hours to a stand-by service, starting Saturday, May 16th, 2020.

The COVID-19 offsite clinic, located at the Aurora College Center for Mine and Industry Training, will remain open from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday, and on weekends and statutory holiday’s services will still be available but on an on-call basis.

If members of the public require testing on weekends and statutory holidays, they can call 867-621-2233 or 867-872-0562 to schedule an appointment.

If there were to be a sudden increased demand for COVID-19 testing, the Fort Smith Covid-19 Offsite Screening Clinic will re-evaluate and adjust services levels in response.

We would like to remind the public that Primary Care services continue to be available, and we encourage residents to call ahead to coordinate their appointment and ask about new virtual care options
