Stanton Lab services have returned to regular hours. The Stanton lab will be available from 8:00AM to 3:30PM, Monday to Friday, and will be closed on weekends and Statutory Holidays. This change is to address the low volume of demand in the evening hours as well as ensuring staffing is appropriate to limit staff burn out.

Previously, lab services were extended at Stanton in response to the closure of the Yellowknife Primary Care Centre (YPCC) lab site with collections at Stanton staying open extended hours.

The downtown lab site at Yellowknife Primary Care Centre remains closed, the exception of bone density testing, some other diagnostic procedures, and the COVID-19 clinic. The new hours for COVID-19 testing are 1:00PM to 3:00PM, bookings for COVID-19 can be made by calling Yellowknife Public Health at 767-9120.

Patient flow will be managed by clinic assistants and screening staff who will remain in place. We continue to retain the ability to quickly scale up COVID-19 testing if needed.
