Service Level Updates in Beaufort-Delta Region

Public Notice

February 7, 2022 - Due to staffing capacities, the following service changes are in effect:

  • The health centre in Tuktoyaktuk will be operating on emergency services only on February 7th. Regular services will resume the following day.
  • In Ulukhaktok, the health centre will be operating on emergency services only from February 7th through February 11th.
  • In Fort McPherson, the health centre is also operating on emergency services only. Once available, updates will be provided regarding the expected duration of this period of reduced services. Issues with the phone system resulting from power outages are still affecting the Fort McPherson health centre and residents are advised to call the health centre mobile phone at 377-2586 with any questions or concerns related to health services.

Emergency services in these communities are still available during these times; regular appointments and non-urgent issues may be delayed. Contact your health centre for information.

Residents that have symptoms of COVID-19 or are concerned with being in contact with COVID-19 should remain at home and call their local Health Centre for screening. Please do not show up in person to the local health centre without calling ahead. Call your health centre first so that staff can provide information on getting tested.
