(Yellowknife, November 22) - Beginning today, the Audiology Department at Stanton Territorial Hospital will be operating on reduced services. Urgent adult services will continue, however pediatric assessments or fitting services will be unavailable during this time. Any urgent pediatric referrals will addressed and referred Alberta Health Services as needed.

The following services will continue:

• Infant hearing screening
• Travel clinics to Fort Simpson and Fort Smith
• Urgent adult assessments and hearing aid fittings

We expect these service reductions to be ongoing for the next month, with reassessment toward the end of December. The NTHSSA will continue to provide updates on these services as they become available, and would like to extend it’s thanks to all residents for their patience and understanding as we continue to deliver health services across the territory.
