The Northwest Territories Health and Social Services Authority (NTHSSA) - Sahtu Region serves the 2,600+ residents of the Sahtu Region in the Northwest Territories. The region is comprised of five unique communities that are accessible by air year round and ice road in the winter months.
Located in the central part of the territory, the region boasts beautiful views of the Mackenzie River, the Mackenzie and Franklin mountain ranges and Great Bear Lake which is world renowned for lake trout fishing. The region has over 75 employees who provide a range of health and social services such as health promotion and disease prevention, medical care, child and family services and counseling.
