Blog Post

The Northwest Territories Health and Social Services (NTHSSA) would like to congratulate Lorie-Anne Danielson, Chief Operating Officer of Stanton Territorial Hospital, on being awarded the “Certified Health Executive” (CHE) designation by the Canadian College of Health Leaders.  The CHE distinction is awarded to health care workers in all disciplines and sectors who demonstrate a significant commitment to the profession, as well as to continuing professional development on top of completing a series of other assessments.

The NTHSSA is committed to supporting professional development and are proud to see our leaders, leading by example. Lorie-Anne shared that she is honored to have received this designation. Since 1970 the Canadian College of Health Leaders is the only national association that provides competency-based certification programs for health service executives. In addition to its certification program, the College provides professional development opportunities through a verity if local and national events, with the goal to promote excellence in health service management throughout Canada.

Lorie-Anne further shared the following:

“Having participated in the program for 2 years and further developing my skills as a leader following the LEADS framework, I am excited to continue my leadership journey with the NTHSSA. I have learned a great many things about myself, about how to engage others, achieve results, develop coalitions, and transform systems. The knowledge I have obtained will help me to lead, inform and support our health system as COO at Stanton”.

Congratulations, Lorie-Anne. Your designation is well-deserved!
