Fort Smith Health Centre BFI Committee Recognized by the Breastfeeding Committee for Canada

Blog Post

The Fort Smith Health Centre BFI Committee includes members working in areas across the health centre who have been recognized by the Breastfeeding Committee for Canada (BCC) for their hard work towards implementing the Baby Friendly Initiative (BFI) and the Ten Steps to Successful Breast/chestfeeding.

The BFI is a Quality Improvement initiative of the World Health Organization that is administered in Canada by the BCC. The BFI supports the health of infants through the implementation of the Ten Steps to Successful Breast/chestfeeding. The Ten Steps protect and promote breast/chestfeeding and ensure families have the support and information they need to decide how to feed their babies and meet their infant feeding goals.

Congratulations to the Fort Smith Health Centre BFI Committee on their recognition from the BCC and for their dedication and commitment to the protection, promotion and support of breastfeeding and the infant feeding goals of families!
