YELLOWKNIFE (June 9, 2025) – The Northwest Territories Health and Social Services Authority (NTHSSA) is inviting the public to a presentation that will feature Indigenous youth talking about their experiences within the child and family services system.

The event – co-organized by Child, Family and Community Wellness and Victoria-based INVINCIBLE – will take place at Yellowknife’s Explorer Hotel on June 20, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. It will also be livestreamed so that more NWT residents can participate in this inspiring event.

The youth involved in the conference are associated with a project called INVINCIBLE: Our Voices from Care, a storytelling project by Indigenous youth in care. Based on their own lived experiences, their stories are meant to inspire other Indigenous children and youth in care and to let them know that they are not alone.

We hope that you will join the NTHSSA, INVINCIBLE, partner organizations, Northern youth, and community leaders and members for a powerful morning of storytelling and sharing.
