Public Notice
Yellowknife, June 5, 2025 – The Northwest Territories Health and Social Services Authority (NTHSSA) would like to remind residents in Yellowknife about a pop-up walk-in clinic taking place this weekend at Yellowknife Public Health. This clinic is being offered to support families with young children and ensure they’re protected against measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR).
For infants 6 months – under 12 months: Your child may be eligible for an early dose of the MMR vaccine if traveling nationally or internationally to areas with increased measles risk.
For children 12 months to 2 years old: Children can receive their routine first MMR dose, and in some cases, an early second dose may be given if needed for travel or outbreak protection.
Date: Saturday, June 7th, 2025
Location: Yellowknife Public Health Unit, 4702 Frankling Ave
Time: 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Additionally, while this clinic is primarily focused on the MMR vaccine, if your child is under 2 years old and needs routine immunizations, this clinic is also a great opportunity to get them caught up.
If you are unable to attend this walk-in clinic, appointments will be available throughout the month of June for MMR vaccines needed for children 6 months to 2 years old. To book a future appointment, please call Yellowknife Public Health at 867-767-9120.
