NTHSSA will be delivering vaccine clinics for 12-17 year olds in Yellowknife schools on Wednesday, May 19th. A letter has gone to parents to inform on process and consent requirements.

Pfizer vaccine supply in the NWT is limited. We are fortunate to have received initial doses as Health Canada authorized use of the Pfizer vaccine for the 12-15 year olds during the school based outbreak in Yellowknife, and we are working to obtain more vaccine to be able to offer vaccine to all residents of NWT who are 12-17 years of age to receive at least one dose before the end of June, 2021.

(February 12, 2021) Due to Yellowknife’s large population size compared to other NWT communities, COVID-19 vaccine appointments are being opened up based on a more detailed breakdown of priority groups.
