Evacuee Reception Centre in Yellowknife
The evacuation reception centre at the Yellowknife Multiplex is open for evacuees of Behchoko. Any evacuee arriving in Yellowknife is encouraged to register online or in person and staff at the evacuation centre will have information on services available, including accommodations at the centre for those who need a place to stay.
Registering is important and it provides a way for emergency response agencies to reach you if needed.

Evacuated residents can access health services in Yellowknife

The health centre in Behchoko is currently closed.
Mental Health Services for Evacuees
Being evacuated from your home community is stressful; checking in with a mental health and counselling resource can help provide strategies, advice, and resources to deal with this difficult situation. Mental health service are being coordinated at the Multiplex evacuation reception centre.
