In August, Stanton Territorial Hospital and Inuvik Regional Hospital received upgrades to their endoscopy equipment. Hay River Regional Health Centre is the third site that received the new technology at the end of October.
October is Occupational Therapy Month and occupational therapists help clients resume or maintain their abilities to participate in a variety of tasks and everyday activities.
Yellowknife (October 26, 2022) – The Northwest Territories Health and Social Services Authority will be hosting in-person and virtual events on November 2nd for any interested Grade 9 students, as part of Take Our Kids to Work Day.
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Natalie Sveinsson is the Stanton Breast Screening Program Booking Coordinator. For nearly 12 years, she has been working to help improve awareness and enhance breast screening accessibility in the NWT.
(Yellowknife, September 27, 2022) Public Health will be offering prenatal education classes for pregnant people and their partner / support person. These classes are open to pregnant people at any gestation. Refreshments will be provided.
