Long Term Care

Long Term Care (LTC) provides care and services for those who are no longer able to live independently or who require onsite nursing care, 24-hour supervision, or personal support.

Rooms are furnished with a bed, dresser, and closet, and have a private bathroom. Residents are encouraged to bring items from home to make the space personal.  LTC offers individualized care that includes recreation and leisure activities to help promote wellness and independence.

Home Care

Home Care

Home care services are provided by a team of health care providers based on your assessed need and may  include a nurse, social worker, occupational therapist, and home support worker.

Home care services help clients stay in their own home rather than go to a hospital or long term care facility when they need nursing care, personal care or help with activities of daily living.

Home care services may include:

NWT Virtual Care

NWT Virtual Care allows you to have a care appointment virtually. This means that you can talk with your care provider over the phone or video and do not have to go to the health centre or clinic to see them.

NWT Virtual Care is a joint initiative of the NTHSSA, TCSA and HRHSSA.

Stanton Indigenous Wellness Program
