Meeting Announcement: Leadership Council Meeting - March 6, 2024

The Northwest Territories Health and Social Services Authority’s Leadership Council is holding its quarterly public meeting on March 6th from 9:00PM - 4:30PM. The meeting will be held in the Doug Wieterman Hall at the Hay River Community Centre and will be open to the public to attend in-person or virtually.

PUBLIC NOTICE: New Home Care Service Delivery Model Implemented in Deh Cho and Sahtu Communities

(February 14, 2024) – The Northwest Territories Health and Social Services Authority (NTHSSA) is pleased to announce the implementation of a new model of service delivery for home and community care that has already begun to provide enhanced services for residents in the Dehcho region (Ft. Simpson) and Sahtu region (Fort Good Hope and Deline), with remaining regions across the Northwest Territories to follow throughout 2024.

PUBLIC NOTICE: Replacement of Mammography Machines at Inuvik Regional Hospital and Stanton Territorial Hospital

(Yellowknife, Inuvik – February 6, 2024) - The Northwest Territories Health and Social Services Authority (NTHSSA) would like to advise residents of planned temporary mammography service closures, while new mammography machines are installed at the Inuvik Regional Hospital (IRH) and Stanton Territorial Hospital (STH).

Both IRH and STH mammography services will be temporarily closed during their respective implementation periods:

PUBLIC NOTICE: Frame Lake Community Health Clinic Closed Due to Heating Issues

(Yellowknife, January 10, 2024) The Northwest Territories Health and Social Services Authority (NTHSSA) is advising residents that the Frame Lake Community Health Clinic, located at 312 Old Airport Rd. is currently closed (as of 12:00 p.m. January 10th, 2024) due to heating issues in the building. 

NTHSSA staff have begun contacting impacted patients to re-schedule appointments and will continue to do so until the situation has been resolved. 

PUBLIC NOTICE: Downtown Yellowknife Primary Care Centre Partially Reopens, Following Recent Flooding

(Yellowknife, January 9, 2024) The Northwest Territories Health and Social Services Authority (NTHSSA) is advising residents that Yellowknife Primary Care Centre (YPCC), located in Downtown Yellowknife at 4915 48 street is on reduced services until further notice due to a flooding incident that impacted the building and spaces where primary care clinics operate. 

Effective January 9th, 2024, services will be as follows:
