2025 Yellowknife Flu Vaccination Clinic Reminder

YELLOWKNIFE (October 17, 2025) – The Northwest Territories Health and Social Services Authority (NTHSSA) would like to remind Yellowknife residents of the various flu vaccination clinics taking place across the city starting next week, being hosted by Yellowknife Public Health. COVID-19 vaccinations will also be available at all clinics upon request.

NORTHWEST TERRITORIES (October 3, 2025) – With influenza season quickly approaching, the Northwest Territories Health and Social Services Authority (NTHSSA) encourages all residents to stay informed about vaccination clinics in their region by checking the 2025 Seasonal Flu Vaccination Clinics webpage. Residents can also follow the NTHSSA Facebook page for the most up-to-date vaccination clinic information.

NTHSSA Update Residents in Beaufort Delta on Mental Health Supports in Communities and Implement Reduced Services at Inuvik Regional Hospital

(Yellowknife, September 21st, 2025) – The Northwest Territories Health and Social Services Authority (NTHSSA) wishes to advise residents in the Beaufort Delta of reduced services at Inuvik Regional Hospital.

Effective today, Monday, September 22nd, the following temporary service reductions will be implemented:

Northwest Territories Health and Social Services Authority (NTHSSA) Diagnostic Imaging Enhancements Supports Sharing Across Jurisdictions

(Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, September 17, 2025) – The Northwest Territories Health and Social Services Authority (NTHSSA) is excited to share that new technology has been implemented that will improve collaboration with Alberta Health Services (AHS) and outcomes for patients.

After successful piloting, effective immediately, diagnostic images, such as CT scans, Ultrasounds, and X-rays, can now be shared instantly from the NTHSSA to AHS physicians through a secure QR code system.  

Hamlet of Fort Providence Health and Social Services Centre Re-Opening Plan

(Northwest Territories, September 11, 2025) – As Fort Providence begins its reopening plan following the recent wildfire threat and evacuation, the Northwest Territories Health and Social Services Authority (NTHSSA) wishes to advise the public that the re-opening plan for the Community Health and Social Services Centre in the community has been initiated.

(Northwest Territories, September 1, 2025) – The Northwest Territories Health and Social Services Authority (NTHSSA) wishes to advise the public that effective immediately, the Community Health and Social Services Centre located in Fort Providence is closed as the community evacuation continues. This closure will be in place until further notice.
